To Be Nobody But Yourself...

"When I was a kid they used to tell me that I could be anything I wanted to be, no matter what. Somewhere along the line we stopped believing that we could do anything."

"You better know what you want to do before somebody knows it for you."

Reminder:

Don't forget the world is doing it best, working day and night to make you everybody else.  You are quickly approaching 30 days from your Strategic LifePlan.  How are you coming on your 30 Day Next Steps?  Are you knocking them out?

Let us know if you are stuck, have questions, or if you are already making progress and "living life differently" -- we'd love to hear your post-LifePlan stories and we are here to help if you need anything at all.

Don't give up, and keep fighting the hard battle of being true to who God created you to be...it's absolutely worth it!

Journey vs. Destination

Read:

Our culture has taught us that successful arrival at the destination is the objective. Our spiritual journey applies a different metric.  It is on the journey where we learn, grow, refine, and collaborate with God. We find His favor and delight in our best of times and His redemptive perspective in our trials, but He is imminently available for the journey if we have the courage to ask.

Are you invigorated by the prospect of the life He intends you to live or are you already settling for the life you've always known?  Walter Mitty monetized a few simple decisions into a life far beyond his greatest expectations.  How about you?

We have included the link to a blank Plan on a Page template. If you haven't had a chance to fill yours out and send it back to us, please take some time to do so. We want to help keep you encouraged and on track. If you are stuck on a particular part or need some help, let us know. That's what we're here for.

Once you have completed your Plan on a Page, you have a "True North" for your life and a tried and true purpose on paper that paints a picture of your unique role in the larger story. Hang it up where you can see it. Put it as your desktop background. Keep it in front of you as a reminder of who you are and where you are headed.

Meet:

Remember what we talked about - there are two realities. The first reality is that this is ultimately between you and God.  Always start there. The other important reality is that you can't do this on your own. You need to firmly commit and re-commit to your Father what He has inspired in you through your time at the LifePlan retreat. You also need someone else that you can share this with, that will help hold you accountable, and celebrate it with you when you succeed.  Identify who that person is and set up a time to meet with them in the next week or two if you haven't already.
